download (2)With entries for the inaugural Festival Supplier Awards (FSAs) now coming in thick and fast, organiser A.M.P. Events has announced a strong line-up of high profile festival organisers will judge submissions.

Chairing the expert panel is Nic Howden, a journalist with over 12 years’ experience covering UK and Europe’s largest festivals. Joining him will be Lee House, senior events manager for Coventry City Council and production lead for the Godiva Festival, UK’s largest, free to attend, festival; Dan Craig, head of operations at Loudsound, event director for Field Day and operations director at Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time and Hannah Farnham, Live Nation’s head of production and events (UK) Music.

Howden commented: “I’m delighted to be chairing the judging panel for the inaugural Festival Supplier Awards, there’s a refreshingly singular focus to the FSAs in an otherwise fallow field and is about rewarding the under-recognised companies behind the infrastructure at festivals.”

Farnham added as advice for entrants: “I’m looking for suppliers who demonstrate their reliability, cost-effectiveness and the right attitude. To me the best festival suppliers are those who are happy to go the extra mile and enjoy coming to site even when things get tough.”

Paul Allott, co-founder of the FSAs said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the industry’s response to the Festival Supplier Awards, from the number of companies entering the awards to a flood of positive feedback from the key players in the industry, the event is really gathering momentum. With more announcements regarding big name judges and supporters to come in the next few weeks, it is shaping up to be a fantastic evening.

Details of the awards categories can be found at www.festivalsupplierawards.com/enter, the deadline for entries is July 31st. Winners will be announced at a black tie dinner at Newbury Showground, October 22nd, at the end of the first day of the Showman’s Show.
