Almost 350 guests from the festival and outdoor event industry celebrated the second outing of the Festival Supplier Awards when they were held on 28th January, at stunning London venue, The Hurlingham Club.

Awards were presented for a host of industry staples including staging, crowd management, temporary structures, crew catering, crowd barriers and toilets, along with accolades for Best Green Supplier and Best Production Team.

Paul Allott, co-founder of the Festival Supplier Awards commented: “Moving the awards to the start of the year and changing the location to London, in only their second year, was a bit of a risk. However given the success of the evening and the amazingly positive feedback we’ve received it was definitely the right decision. It was great to see people networking, celebrating and clearly cheering each other on, it really was a fantastic evening. We are incredibly grateful to all our judges, sponsors, supporters and everyone who put themselves forward for an award. Plans for 2017 are already underway.”
Guests also raised more than £2,000 for their chosen charity, Plaster Creative Communications’ cycle from Bristol to Paris, April 29th – May 3rd to raise funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital. Graham Brown, Plaster’s managing director said: “We’re all flabbergasted at raising £2,057 at the Festival Supplier Awards last night. It was a brilliant evening with a fabulous atmosphere, celebrating the achievements of companies and people behind so many festivals. The generous donations reflected the great bunch of people you’d gathered into the Hurlingham Club. This will only serve as even more motivation to the team at Plaster cycling. Congratulations to all awards nominees, thanks to everyone who donated . . . better get training . . .”
